Bows & Buttons: Keepin' Kozy: Boys

While accessorizing is often associated with the femme fashionista, and the selection for accoutrements for your little stylish stallion may have been sparse in the past, when it comes to winter wear there are as many option for the little guys as there are for the little gals. Doubtful still? Keep reading and Bows & Buttons will convince you that winter sartorial delights are as much as a guy thing as a girl thing.

Turning to Hollywood babes once again, we see that for the most part celeb mamas love to dress their little men in a somber palette of navy blues and greys. Just take a look at Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom carrying cutie pie Flynn in black and navy blue knit cap and sweater. Keeping it in the same colour family but adding a bit of a Rocker sensibility we turn to Nicole Richie who dresses Sparrow in a leather jacket for a tough guy look, as well as Sandra Bullock who has her tike in dark denim and a black and grey checkered hoodie under a blue puffer coat. While such choices are undeniably chic, they play it safe in order to maximize the little guys wardrobe potential. Where it really gets interesting though, is when celebrity moms add printed accessories for a hit of the old "Wow Factor" . Take a look at Style Icon Rachel Zoe's style setter son Skylar in a printed Missioni knit hat, and Mason Disick with auntie Kim Kardashian in a black Skull-Mohawk knit topper. Winterwear never looked so chic.

While the Missioni for Target baby selection is sadly sold out, we did find this Missioni blanket of a similar colour story. Wrap baby up to keep him warm from wintery winds. We also dug up a similar navy puffer jacket and black leather bomber. And then, our personal favs...a grey and black check knit hat from the Gap ( on sale no less), and a handmade rocker Skulls 'N' Mohawk hat from the DIY site Etsy. After all, we can't let the girls have all the fun!
